More About Liz Liz has worked at Taronga in the Wildlife Hospital for 32 years. Her role varies daily, caring for and treating zoo animals as well as native wildlife that is brought to Taronga’s hospital by the general public. Liz supported the bushfire recovery work in the summer of 19/20; she was deployed to a triage center in Victoria, where she treated burnt and injured koalas in particular. Many were unfortunately too injured to be saved; however, Liz and the team were able to release some of the koala patients back into the wild, which was extremely rewarding.
