Established in 2013, and named after journalist and social activist Rose Scott, the RSWWF is unique as the only festival dedicated to the work of women writers in New South Wales. Celebrating the work of contemporary Australian women writers across fiction and non-fiction, in print, performance and digital media, the RSWWF is increasingly recognised as a significant event on the literary calendar.
The generous financial contribution from our Supporter Program ensures the success and ongoing viability of the Festival and the participation of leading writers and moderators.
We hope you will continue to support us, or do so for the first time, particularly in the current situation when writers need more than ever to have the opportunity to talk about their books and meet their readers.
This year’s Festival program beings on Friday 15 September and continues until Sunday 17 September 2023.
