Join us for an Anzac Day lunch with Brigadier Jocelyn Anne King, CSC , the inaugural commander of the 2nd Health Brigade in the Australian Army.
The Army's 2nd Health Brigade was established in 2022 to bring four Army health battalions together to enhance health and medical capabilities for Australian troops.
The lunch will be a time to learn more about Brigadier's King's role in modernising our defence force, as well as reflection, unity, and shared appreciation for the sacrifices made by our ANZACS.
Biography
Brigadier Jocelyn Anne King, CSC has served as an officer in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC) since 1996. Across her career she has undertaken roles in the generation of deployable health capability, training, strategic workforce management and sensitive issue management.
Brigadier King has deployed on peace monitoring, humanitarian relief and warlike operations in Egypt, the Solomon Islands and Afghanistan. She was the Commanding Officer of the Army School of Health from 2011-2013 and commenced as the inaugural Commander of the 2nd Brigade in 2023.
Brigadier King holds Master level qualifications in strategy, management and business administration. She has been recognised for her contribution in specific roles through the award of the NATO Meritorious Service Medal, the US Bronze Star and the Conspicuous Service Cross.
