The Women’s Club (TWC) own the website www.thewomensclub.com.au.
The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles regulates our collection, management and use of your personal information. This Policy explains how we do this.
Personal information that we collect
We may collect various details about you including your name, address and contact details for the primary purpose of providing our services to you.
Information collected about you helps us to manage and meet your needs relating to our supply of services to you.
Collection of your information also enables us to provide you with details of our services that we think may be of interest to you. The information also informs our promotion strategies for the RSWWF. If you do not wish to receive any promotional material, we set out how you notify us of this below under Opting out.
You are entitled to withhold your personal information and remain anonymous or provide a pseudonym when dealing with us. However, if you do so we may be unable to provide our services or information to you.
Collection of personal information
We may collect your information by telephoning you, sending you a letter, text or email message or by asking you to provide information to us at our website. You may also be required to complete forms relating to your purchase of our services and payment for them.

In those circumstances we will take reasonable steps to inform you about the information that we collect from them and will only use the information in accordance with this Policy and the law.

Opting out
When we send you any promotional material (whether by email, text or any kind of printed communications), we will inform you as to how you may opt out from receiving material from us in the future.
You can also telephone us to inform us that you wish to opt out.

We will need to disclose your personal information to third parties relating to the supply of services that you order from us including support and maintenance, back-up and disaster recovery of our IT systems and data bases that contain your information.
We may also disclose your personal information if we are authorised or are compelled to do so under Australian law, for example, as a result of a warrant issued by a court of competent jurisdiction or if required by a government authority, national security agency or law enforcement body.

We take steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure or loss and to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date. We will update your information if needed. We will also change or delete your information if you ask us to do so.
We will always confirm your identity before giving you access to your personal information. We may not give you access to your information if the law so permits and in those circumstances we reserve our rights not to do so. For example, we will not give you access if doing so may result in a serious threat to another person's life, health or safety.
If we do not agree to give you access to your personal information or to amend the information that we hold about you, then you may seek a review of or appeal our decision under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth). You may also make a statement about the change that you requested and we will attach this to your record.
In general, you do not need to pay us a fee to access your information depending upon the nature and extent of the resources that we will need to deploy to fully respond to your request. If we do charge a fee, it will be reasonable in the circumstances and we will inform you about this.
When your personal information is no longer required, we will destroy or delete it in secure manner.
We will collect, store and protect credit information about you in the same manner as set out in this Policy in relation to your personal information.
