Join us for an inspiring Women in Music event featuring acclaimed violinist Beverly Kwan.
Originally from Perth, Beverly is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Ole Böhn. She was recently awarded a bronze award in the 2024 Singapore International Music Competition (Senior Category) and was selected as a finalist in the 23rd Kendall National Violin Competition.
She has performed internationally at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival (Finland) and Kirishima International Music Festival (Japan), both as a scholarship recipient, and currently serves as concertmaster of the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra.
Beverly has enjoyed playing in a range of orchestras, including the Australian Youth Orchestra, Western Australian Youth Orchestras, Perth Symphony Orchestra, and the Sydney Conservatorium 2022 European Tour Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, she will join Opera Australia under the Patricia H. Reid Orchestral Fellowship and looks forward to embarking on the month-long Australian Youth Orchestra International Tour.
Her previous teachers include Alice Waten, Paul Wright, and Anna Chomicka-Gorecka.
