Festival 2016
Literary Legacies – Contemporary Classics
Friday 16 September & Saturday 17 September 2016
At the Festival Symposium
The Festival Patron, Professor The Hon Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO, welcomed members and guests to the Festival Symposium. She reminded us all about the outstanding life and work of Rose Scott, whom the Festival honours, and the way her legacy lives on today. Dr Kerryn Goldsworthy gave the keynote address, Glittering Prizes.
At the Festival Soiree
The Festival Soirée was an opportunity to launch a new edition of Dr Anne Summer’s book Damned Whores and God’s Police.
The Soirée featured Professor Lyndall Ryan, a long-time friend of Anne’s, Anne herself, and Kathy Bail, from NewSouth Books.
